WHAT IS BOULDERING?
Bouldering is a form of climbing in which climbers are overcome at jump height without a rope or harness. It usually takes place on short but challenging routes on climbing walls or rocks. It requires strength, technique and skill, with the focus on short, powerful movements. Bouldering offers a unique opportunity to develop body control and mental strength, as well as being a social and fun activity.
HOW DO YOU BOULDER?
Bouldering begins on the marked starting hold, whereby one hand must touch this hold. The specified color or number of the holds guides the climbing route. Difficulty levels from 1 (very easy) to 6 (very difficult) help with the selection of suitable bouldering problems. Bouldering ends without a fall by placing both hands on the last hold of the wall.
